Empowering teachers and students
for a brighter future.

Why Choose
St. John The Baptist Gildehaus
Catholic School

Our children learn beyond what can be taught through text books and computers.  They learn the love of God, the love of family and neighbor, the love of thy self, and, most importantly, they learn service to others.

Parent Amy Bath talks about family and community.

Father Foy speaks to our tradition and excellence.

Our Curriculum

Our teachers, ranging from preschool to 8th grade, are eager to teach, happy to help, and always ready to give our students the devotion and attention they need. View our curriculum to learn more about our teachers and what they do best.

Our History

Much like the city of Washington, St. John the Baptist Gildehaus Catholic School was established in 1839. Our rich educational history begins with a humble log church, and has grown into what you see today by the grace of God and our loving community.

Support for Parents

St. John the Baptist Gildehaus Catholic School understands the needs of not only our students, but their loving parents as well. We offer before and after care, parent organizations, and many other resources that benefit both student and parent.

“With the support from the community,
we have been able to serve our students better than ever.”

— Diane Smith, School Principal
