Demonstrates familiarity with the curriculum, methods, procedures, schedule, and resources used by the teacher.

As directed by the teacher, works with individual students and groups to reinforce curricular concepts and skills and classroom procedures.

• As directed by the teacher, checks students work, supervises testing and monitors completion of make-up work.
• Assists with the supervision of students in the classroom and during lunch, recess and dismissal.
• Assists the teacher with keeping records related to students’ progress.
• Provides the teacher with pertinent information about individual students.
• Closely follows student IEP to ensure that all goals are met.
• Uses and/or modifies the general education curriculum to meet a child’s individual needs.
• Research and use various techniques to promote learning.
• Inventory, distribute and collect ITBS testing materials.
