Education:
My college education began at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, in my hometown of
Menomonie, Wisconsin. After moving to Missouri, I attended East Central College, and
then received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Webster University.
Personal:
I have been married for forty years to my best
friend, John M. Grgurich. We have four
children now grown to adulthood, and three beautiful grandchildren. My oldest grandson
is a fourth-generation United States Marine now stationed in Iwakuni, Japan.
Professional:
Teaching at St. John’s has been a rewarding experience. I have enjoyed teaching three
different grade levels during my twenty-nine year tenure. I began teaching First Grade,
and after seven years in that capacity I was asked to take over teaching Eighth Grade.
Thus, my first First Grade class was also my first Eighth Grade class. I continued in the
Eighth Grade for the next fifteen years, after which I was asked to move to Fourth Grade,
where I have taught for the past seven years—and counting.
The students and their families are the reason I still enjoy my job. God has blessed me by
allowing me to be a part of their lives.
