The first grade curriculum consists of the following classes: math, reading, English, phonics, spelling, religion, handwriting, social studies, science, and art. The students attend P.E. and Music classes twice a week. During the first semester of first grade, the students participate in a phonics program called “Writing to Read”. Students attend mass three times a week and are involved in reading at mass twice a month. We also participate in service projects throughout the year.
