PHILOSOPHY

The St. John’s After School Care Program shares the same philosophy and goals of St. John’s School, but in addition, strives to provide an enjoyable, safe atmosphere with varying activities for the children to do after school. These include, vigorous out-door play, a quiet area for doing homework, reading books, etc., movie time, arts and crafts, and many different types of indoor games.

ADMISSION POLICIES AND REGISTRATION

The St. John’s After School Care Program is offered to all students enrolled at St. John’s School, pre school- eighth grade. Each family requiring care will need to register their child(ren) by completing a registration form and paying a $20.00 (per family) registration fee. You may register at any time throughout the school year. Emergency care will be provided at a premium rate.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Operating hours are from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on full days of school. There will be NO After School Care provided on early dismissal days or on days there is no school.

WEEKLY RATE/COST

Your cost is based on a per week rate. This depends on the number of children enrolled per family and whether or not they need full or part-time care. A full-time status is considered 4-5 days of care per week. Part-time is 1-3 days.

A Late Pick-Up Charge will apply for any student not picked up by 6:00 p.m. For students not picked up by 6:00 there will be an additional late fee charge of $1.00 for every minute they remain after 6:00.

Emergency Care will be provided to children who are not registered in the After Care Program on a ‘one time’ use basis. The following rates apply:

1 child: $15.00

2 children: $20.00

3 children: $25.00
